All of the children below won medals in the Mayo Indoor Athletic Championships in Claremorris last Sunday, 28/1/18. Medals were won for sprinting, relay, distance running, high jump, long jump, javelin and shot putt! What a talented bunch!

Mary Langan, Noreen Jennings and Nicola Macken came to our school today from Ballinrobe LGFA. They introduced the girls from 2nd and 3rd to some new Gaelic skills and hope they join them in training with the club when the new season starts!  Well done to the 4th class boys that won the Pella blitz that Pat Kennedy organised for us today(29/01/18) in the Lakeside. We really enjoyed it!  Winners of the Mayo County Council road competition. Aleisha and Lily from Ms. Cunnane's fifth class. Well done girls.  We are still promoting the travel theme from Green Schools Ireland. Where possible children are asked to walk to and from school each day. Classes with the most walkers receive extra golden time.
greenschoolsireland.org/themes/travel/  We had to figure out how to complete the circuit to play our Makey Makey piano. We used a banana, teaspoon, graphite from a pencil and a topper as conductors.
