Each year, the Wednesday of Catholic Schools Week is designated as the day when the school community celebrates and pays tribute to grandparents and the role they play in handing on the faith to their grandchildren and in supporting the community of faith at home and in the parish. They bring joy to the lives of their grandchildren and in turn grandchildren can bring real joy to them.
To celebrate the occasion we will attend morning mass in St. Mary's Church, Ballinrobe. .https://www.aldi.ie/playrugby
Our school is delighted to have registered for the above. (click on link for full details) We will collect stickers- one given in store for every €30 spent. When we reach the quota of stickers we will be entered into a draw!. We appreciate everyone keeping this in mind when shopping 5th and 6th class boys had a great day when they visited St. Pat's BNS, Castlebar on Thursday to take part in some friendly gaelic matches. Everyone got a game and we look forward to more events like this in the future.
We are nearing the end of our first week of 2019 at school! Today's whole school assembly was led by Oliwia, Sarah and Clara. We focused
on the theme of resolutions and decided to make some whole school resolutions. These included keeping our school tidy, being kinder to one another and being more inclusive. Athbhliain faoi mhaise dhaoibh go leir. |
