Class teachers will shortly add their list of supplies that your child will need for September. Please check below over the next couple of days for updated lists. Thanks.
As part of Bike Week 2017, Marrey Bikes ran a colouring / design your own helmet competition for our third and fourth classes. All the children had great fun and all were extremely creative. Eamonn came to present the winners with their prizes today. He also showed us how to wear your helmet properly which is very important. It is also a legal requirement now to have reflectors, a light and a bell on your bike. Eamonn also kindly gave each child who entered the competition a little pack with these enclosed. Many thanks & well done to all!
We had a wonderful morning at the Cake Sale organised by 6th class and their teachers. There was so much to do - hair styling, nail polishing, karaoke, fortune tellers, picture quiz and of course the lovely cakes and buns supplied by everyone! 6th class raised a lot of money which will be donated to a children's charity. Well done to all!
Free family cycle event will take place on Sunday, 18th June @ 10.30am. Mayo Sports Partnership, The Maple Youth Centre and Bike Week are organising this event. It is to promote positive mental health through physical activity during Bike Week. Meet at Cornmarket, Ballinrobe.
Tomorrow, Friday the 9th of June is Sports Day. 6th class children together with their teachers have been busy getting equipment ready and organising timetables. Bring extra water to school and remember to wear your tracksuit! It promises to be a great day as always with plenty of fun and actvity!
Well, the big day came and we went to Cong to show the judges our cabbages! Eight of us brought them and they were all fantastic. We took great care over the past few weeks to mind the plants - watering and keeping the bugs off and even singing to them! Thanks to Cong Food Festival and Yvonne from Devour Bakery for having us !
We are celebrating International Children's Day here at St. Joseph's. Second class with Muinteoir Niamh have made some lovely beads and bracelets. Other classes are organising their own events - some blowing bubbles, some creating artwork and some singing!
