6th Class took charge of our friendship assembly this morning. They introduced each class representative and we listened to what each class had been doing to celebrate friendship week 2019. We had recitations, drawings, games and much more. The whole school joined together to sing 'Count on Me' (watch a clip above)
Fifth Class boys really enjoyed the Tag Rugby Blitz held at Castlebar Rugby Grounds yesterday. They joined lots of schools for friendly matches.
Next week we will celebrate Friendship Week. We will work on a number of activities in class and hold a 'friendship assembly' on Thursday. You can read more about it here: www.amnesty.ie/friendship-week/
Boys and girls from 5th and 6th played their hearts out yesterday! Well done to the boys who now go on to the Connaught Final and to the girls who got to yesterday's finals.
Huge congrats to David on coming 1st in the Boys Under 14 High Jump event during day one of the Irish Life Health National Juvenile Indoor Championships at AIT in Athlone last weekend. Superb talent.
