We have come to the end of the school year and what a fabulous year we had! Thanks to all the children, teachers, management team, SNA's, our secretary and our caretaker for making it a memorable one. From all of us at St. Joseph's we wish you a very happy and safe summer holiday. See you all at the end of August!
The school has been awarded the Gold Incredible Edibles School Award. Thank you to Margaret Gorman for gathering all the information for this project, putting it together so well and making it the success it is. Thanks to all the staff and children for their contributions to this project.
Congratulations to the 6th class children and Mr Walsh who are 2023 JEP Award Winners with their Handmade Seed Paper Submission.
For their creativity, dedication and hardwork the 6th class has been awarded the Creative Pioneers Award. This is a wonderful achievement. Well done everyone! Thanks so much to the girls from the Neale NS for coming in to play our girls in a friendly GAA match today!
A great way to end the football season here at St. Joseph's Huge congratulations to the Connacht Athletic winners from 1st class that were so successful last Saturday in Athlone with phenomenal performances in long jump, turbo javelin, 60m sprints and 300m distance running! Good luck to you all competing in the All Irelands on July 1st! Dear Parent,
Please see information attached in relation to a trial closure of the Set-Down Area next Thursday 15th. The existing set-down areas at the front of school will be closed on a trial basis at school start and finish times on this day. We are running this trial with support from Mayo County Council and Safe Routes to School and as part of the overall objective of reducing congestion at the front of school at school start and finish times and improving safety for students walking, cycling, and scooting to school. The excitement is mounting here today as our football teams get ready for the big day tomorrow. We wish the best of luck to both our girls and boys teams who will play in McHale Park tomorrow, Thursday, June 8th at 12pm and 1.20pm respectively against Breaffy. Please come out to support them!
Congratulations to Jack who has been nominated to play at an exhibition game in Croke Park on July 15th at half time of the All Ireland Semi Final!
This nomination has come as a result of the success of our Boys Mini 7s team reaching the County final of the Cumann na mBunscol Mini 7 competition earlier this year. Enjoy every minute of this fantastic opportunity Jack! |
