It's that time of year when we ask every child / family to please participate in our Christmas Shoebox appeal. Collection date is the 8th November. We hugely appreciate your efforts and feel that it is a very worthwhile activity for the children to engage in. School will be closed on Thursday 25th October to facilitate a teacher training day and on Friday the 26th as school is used as a polling station for the election. Blacksmith / Coppersmith Mark Wilson has worked with both fifth and sixth classes. Each child will now contribute the the final piece that will be on display outside our school. The working title for the project is 'The Tree of Embracement'. The TY students also had some time working with Mark yesterday to make a start on what no doubt will be a wonderful piece of craftsmanship.   Our triumphant Mini 7's team after winning their area competition and are now through to play on the next round! Well done!
